Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed Dr. Gary Kompothecras, DC, founder of 1-800-ASK-GARY® to the Florida Board of Chiropractic Medicine, effective January 7, 2026. Governor DeSantis also reappointed Howard Baum to the Board.

Dr. Kompothecras is a nationally recognized healthcare executive, chiropractor, and entrepreneur with decades of experience advancing patient access, clinical quality, and regulatory excellence. His appointment underscores Florida's continued commitment to strong governance, ethical standards, and patient-centered care within the chiropractic profession.

Currently, Dr. Kompothecras serves as Chairman of Physicians Group, LLC, Path Medical, 1st Health Inc., Surgery Consultants of Florida, and Neuro Trauma Centers. He is widely known for building integrated healthcare platforms that support injured patients across Florida, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Oregon – bridging clinical care, compliance, and patient advocacy.

Beyond his professional leadership, Dr. Kompothecras has a longstanding record of public service and community involvement in Florida. He serves on the Sarasota Military Academy Foundation Board of Directors and has previously held leadership roles with the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority and the Space Florida Board of Directors. Through 1-800-ASK-GARY®, he also supports youth and community initiatives, including recent partnerships with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay and the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County.

 The Siesta Key Chamber hosts this easter egg hunt each year on the grounds of the Siesta Key Chapel. The event features activities and surprises, with local organizations sharing their offerings, as well as the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny.  

The Siesta Key Chamber and Siesta Key Chapel invite your little ones to the annual Siesta Key Easter Egg Hunt!

Hop on over for a fun-filled morning at the Chapel's beautiful, shade-covered grounds. Your little ones will enjoy an exciting and festive egg hunt, with plenty of activities and surprises to make this Easter special!

Details:

• Doors open at 9:00 AM
• The Egg Hunt heats will accommodate no more than 40 kids per heat, with approximately 200 children registered.
• Egg Hunt times (approximately): 9:20 AM, 9:40 AM, 10:00 AM, 10:20 AM, 10:40 AM.
• Children ages 1-6 are eligible to participate in all Egg Hunt heats. Ages 7-8 may participate in the 10:40 AM heat only.
• Your child’s Egg Hunt heat will be assigned at check-in.
• Each registered child will receive their own goody-bag at check-in.
• Games, activities, live animals, and photos with the Easter Bunny will be available throughout the event.
• Complimentary parking will be provided on-site.
• Event concludes at 11:00 AM.

• Participation is limited to 200 children. Please be sure to register early!
• Please bring a bag or basket for your child to collect their eggs.
• Online Registration will close on Friday, 3 at 3:00 PM.
